Delivering for North Essex: Economic Strategy and Delivery Plan

In 2023, we were commissioned by the seven Local Authorities within the North Essex Economic Board (NEEB) to develop their new Economic Strategy and Delivery Plan. 

Using evidence and research techniques, we analysed the region’s economic baseline to identify their four key growth sectors and strategic priorities. Using that quantitative analysis, we facilitated a series of workshops with councillors, local authority officers, local businesses, universities, voluntary organisations and resident groups to broaden the qualitative evidence base to further underpin the strategy. This was to ensure that all areas of the NEEB were fully and thoroughly represented in our work. 

In addition to our strategy document, we developed a workable and fully-funded action plan, which will help to stimulate North Essex’s economy for years to come. The actions focused on ensuring that the Local Authorities within North Essex can continue to work together for the overall improvement on the region and pool their resources effectively to deliver greater impact.
